About
I take small and medium size companies and help them grow successfully. Then I help them stay healthy once they get there.
I joined Oddball when it was 35 people and about $12M in revenue. Over seven years we grew it to 374 people and $120M, with $450M in total contract value. I owned delivery, customer success, and compliance through every stage of that climb, including the company’s graduation out of small-business status and a successful sale. I didn’t inherit a big company. I helped build one.
Before that, I took over a NASA program that was in trouble at $177M, stabilized it in three months, and earned the highest individual award fee in the contract’s history. I ran the Department of State’s largest systems integration programs. Different customers, same job every time: figure out what’s actually broken, fix the things that matter, and build a team that can carry it. My reputation is simple: I’m the guy who gets things done.
Why I do this
Here’s what I actually care about. I like building things that last, and I like watching people grow into leaders they didn’t know they had in them. The wins I’m proudest of aren’t the revenue numbers. They’re the leaders I brought up from the ground floor, the teams that stuck together through hard stretches, the founder I coached through a decision that changed her company. People tell me I’m the ‘adult in the room.’ I’ll take that. It means I stay calm, tell you the truth, and get things done.
I’m not a big-company guy
I don’t parachute in with a generic playbook and a bill. I spent most of my career working at small businesses and I know the messy early stages firsthand. When the company was 35 people and every dollar and every hire mattered, I lived it. Here’s the difference in how I work now: I work on your business, not in it. I build the economics, the systems, the processes, and the leaders that let it run without depending on any one person, including me. That’s the stage most of my clients are in, and it’s the work I like best.
What the name means
The name CondottaPath draws on the condotta, the binding contract under which the condottieri, Renaissance Italy’s professional military commanders, served their city-states. Reputation was everything: deliver on the contract, or lose your name. The shield, found in our logo, carries that meaning of trust and accountability, and the compass inside it points to the client’s way forward. Together they say what the firm does, guide leaders down a path to success, under a commitment staked on results and experience.
Credentials
PMP. Active Top Secret clearance. M.S. in Information Technology from Virginia Tech. ACT-IAC Fellow of the Year. The companies I helped build earned Top Workplace recognition from the Washington Post and others, which I care about more than most awards, because culture is the thing that actually holds a scaling company together.
